Qualification Process Nears Completion
The European Qualifiers for UEFA EURO 2024 are nearing their conclusion, with the play-offs set to take place in March 2024 to determine the remaining spots in the tournament's final stages. The qualifying process, which began in March 2023, has seen 53 UEFA member nations compete for the chance to advance to the continental championship.
Play-offs to Decide Finalists
After the completion of the group stage, the top two teams from each of the ten qualifying groups have automatically qualified for EURO 2024. The remaining three finalists will be decided through the play-offs, which will feature 12 teams competing for the last three berths. The play-off teams will be seeded based on their performance in the qualifying group stage, with the top four teams receiving a bye to the semi-finals.
The UEFA EURO 2024 tournament will be held in Germany from June 14 to July 14, 2024. The defending champions are Italy, who won the 2021 edition of the tournament. The draw for the play-offs will be held on January 9, 2024, with the semi-finals taking place on March 21 and 22, 2024, and the final on March 26, 2024.
